Being the Controller, Girlie is responsible for managing day-to-day activities of the accounting department. Her primary goal is to bring the company’s internal and external reportorial obligations within the construction industry standards and compliance and following GAAP. To achieve this goal, she needs to implement cost effective systems and procedures that yield measurable and efficient results.
Prior to joining Marina Mechanical, Girlie had 19 years of experience helping companies through financial change and challenges. Proven self-starter with demonstrated skills in accurate preparation, analysis, and reporting of financial performance. Strategic problem-solver who effectively analyzes situations and provides innovative solutions. Hands-on leader with established abilities in internal control policies formulation, managerial accounting, financial reporting, and payroll to companies in industries like service, retail, construction, and manufacturing and distribution. Strong team-working and multi-tasking skills. Exhibits good leadership identifying and synthesizing information to provide value added analysis to senior leadership.
